On the cutting performance analysis of milling tools for a selected application.
Němeček, Lukáš ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis is devided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with types of milling, the choice of the cutters, choice of material of exchangeable cutting plates and also with types of wear and their classification. The second part of the thesis deals with experiments where the power load of the tool was measured. The observed data were processed and graphs of power load were created by software. Conclusions are based on these graphs.
Cutting performance of very fine grained end mills
Uttendorfský, Aleš ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part describes sintered carbides, their properties and manufacturing tools. Some selected problems of milling and its physical nature is discussed also. It also deals with the types and methods of tool wear testing. The aim is to compare the experimental properties of monolithic end milling cutters (short four cutting edges, uncoated carbides) of various grain sizes in two basic ways of milling - down-feed method and up-feed method. The measured values are evaluated by analysis in time series of the cutting forces and power.
Planetary Gearboxes in Both Passenger Cars and Trucks Construction
Novák, Petr ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the use of planetary gears in automatic transmissions for cars and trucks. The transmission part consists of Simpson and Ravigneaux gears. Therefore, their kinematic analysis is performed here. A complete description of the automatic gearbox explains in detail the principle of the function of the gearbox as a whole. Furthermore, the work is divided into two parts - gearboxes for cars and trucks. A research is carried out, the main characteristics of the group are described and their representative is discussed in detail. In the last part the kinematic and force analysis of ZF - Ecomat 6HP 602 gearbox is carried out.
Data selection and optimisation of cutting conditions for progressive production technologies of drilling with a step drill
Barák, Vít ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis contains theoretical analysis of drilling by twist drill focused on the step drill. The review includes description of the drill geometry, calculation of the basic parameters of drilling, including forces and process optimization. Following is manufacturing process and analysis of the monolithic step drill designed for the required hole parameters. The optimal cutting conditions are necessary to find for the correct function of the tool. The load values of the tool are accurately assessed using a piezoelectric dynamometer, thereby obtaining the overall progress of individual loads. The roughness of the workpiece is evaluated by the optical measuring device.
Hydraulic rake screen - optimization
Milostný, Aleš ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The introduction of this Bachelor thesis is devoted to the problematic of rake screen cleaning. The next part describes individual device construction solutions. Continuing with geometry optimizations of the hydraulic controlled screen cleaning device and a force analysis based on positioning. In the end, optimal device dimensions are defined based on the size of the water intake and the geometry of the screens.
Analysis of forces acting on the mandible during chewing
Thomková, Barbora ; Hájek, Petr (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with cranio-maxillo-facial biomechanics by analysing the force of the lower jaw during chewing. In the thesis, research study of literary sources dealing with the force of the lower jaw is carried out, from which the information obtained was used for subsequent analysis of the force effect on the lower jaw during chewing. The solution is made referring to computational modelling, analytical methods and also numerical by using FEM. The analytical solution was made on the assumption that the lower jaw is a rigid body and solved the magnitude of the contact forces in the bonds and the bite force that was considered at different positions using equations of equilibrium. The numerical solution was computed by using the ANSYS Workbench software. Two types of kinematic bonds (spherical and fixed support) in the condyle areas were solved and compared. The first type was identical with the analytical solution. Spherical bonds were prescribed at the place of the condyles. The second type of bonds was chosen on the basis of literature. Fixed support bonds were selected in both condyles. The results were compared for both approaches related to solution and the biting forces were compared with the experimentally determined values reported by the literature.
Prediction of cutting forces and quality of surface when milling with high feeds
Mikel, Pavel ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Theoretical study describes force analysis and quality of surface when milling. In the experiment the emphasis is on determining forces and surface quality in milling in response to changes in feed rate. Especially determination of specific cutting force kc and cutting force Fc at materials from aluminium alloy AlSi9Cu3, titanium alloy Ti6Al4V and steel C45, the used tool was a milling cutter for high feeds. In the experimental section is furthermore contained statistical evaluation data which demonstrate a certain prediction changes of cutting load and surface roughness when changing feeds.
Force load of the cutting tools in milling
Vašíček, Jiří ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The thesis is focused on measuring the power equipment for milling. The theoretical part describes the method of measuring forces with a deeper focus on the individual meter. There is also the description of the characteristics of the milling process. Experimental part is focused on the proposal of experiment of the face milling, its implementation and subsequent evaluation.
Modern cutting tools for grooving and cutting-off
Axmanová, Hana ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with modern catting tools for grooving and cutting-off, choice of material of catting inserts, and with types of tool wear and their classification. The second part of the thesis deals with calculation of volumetric wear of catting tool for grooving. There was measured the power load of the new and worn tool in the experimental part and the observed data were evaluated by software. The graphs of power load and volumetric wear of tool were created.
Analysis of current parting and grooving technologies
Gažo, Filip ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals and comprehensively unifies the theoretical knowledge in the field of turning, grooving and parting of material. Furthermore, the thesis also deals with the theory of cutting tool materials as well as tool’s construction and shape characteristics. In the practical part of the thesis there is proposed procedure and conditions necessary to perform the experiment of the tool force loaded measurements, as well as the technical description of the grooving process. Last but not the least, all the measured data is evaluated and plotted into dependencies, from which the results and recommendations for the optimal groove cutting with the particular cutting tool are made.
